The Industry Pathway will introduce participants age 14-19 to the inner workings of the music industry, demonstrating the range of opportunities and roles across business, administration and production responsibilities.

Saturday sessions
25 x 3-hour sessions led by working professionals will explore diverse topics, building in practical activities supporting participants to try their hands at a broad range of skills including but not limited to:

Independent enrichment projects based on student interest: Learning will be put into practice during intensive projects, which will allow participants to focus on an area of particular interest as the group creates, markets, promotes and delivers a set real-world outcome: for example, a playlist, an event, an album, etc.
Career mentoring and pastoral support from BMA mentors, community musicians and BMA staff
Masterclasses/visits from guest artists/professionals
Access to RPO and partner organisation events (open rehearsals, concerts, Q&A with artists, attendance at recording sessions)
Dani Senior - Workshop Leader

Dani Senior is a dual professional with a career as a Multi-Platinum-Selling Songwriter and Vocal Producer while also operating in Higher Education Leadership within the Creative Industries - in particular, an overseer and manager of HE Songwriting & Music Business programmes, Music Business Lecturer, and an External Examiner moderating assessment practices for Music Business BAs at two UK Universities.
As a Songwriter Dani has an extensive discography of hits, award-nominated toplines, and vocal features for the likes of TWICE, OFFAIAH, Shenseea, Nora En Pure, Sander van Doorn, Snakehips, Yolanda Be Cool, DJ Jean, BURNS, Rationale, SHINee, Jolin Tsai, and Kara, amongst others.
Recognised for her creative and professional abilities and contribution, she presently sits on the funding panels for the PRS Foundation and PPL as a Fund Assessor that awards funds and resources to upcoming Creatives. Dani is also a former Judge for the Ivor Novello Songwriting Awards for Best Contemporary Song.

As a youngster J (PKA Merlin) enjoyed his first Top 10 at 16 years old - He has procured over 25 years of experience in the music industry and is a passionate and skilled music professional. He is a digital music lecturer at ICMP but more recently, provides workshops for ICMP's community outreach programs -
Merlin states "I equip students with the techniques and knowledge to write and perform original compositions across various genres and styles. I hold a first-class Bachelor of Laws degree and a Level 4 certification in education and training, as well as a Level 2/3 accreditation in safeguarding for at-risk youth."
In addition to his teaching role, Merlin is also the CEO and founder of Sounds of Urban London Media CIC, a social enterprise that delivers creative writing and music technology workshops for at-risk youth and ex-offenders from deprived communities.
Merlin goes on to explain, "Through this initiative, I aim to provide opportunities for personal and professional development, as well as to provide academic career development platforms that reduce reoffending and enhance social inclusion. I have successfully partnered with various organizations, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, ArtsXChange, Sony Music and HMPPS, to facilitate and deliver impactful projects that empower and inspire participants to achieve their potential."
